PacFishID 1.1.1

Learn to identify fishes and invertebrates from Pacific Island countries and territories with the application provided by the Coastal Fisheries Programme of the Pacific Community. The dataset currently available includes information on common coastal food fishes of the Pacific Islands region.

• The dataset features approximately 320 of the most commonly targeted coastal sharks, rays, and bony fishes in the Pacific Islands region.
• Based on the 'Identification guide to the common coastal food fishes of the Pacific Islands region' by Brad Moore and Boris Colas, this resource is designed to aid fisheries officers in identifying commonly encountered coastal food fishes during catches or market surveys.

This application was developed with financial support from the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the European Union as part of the 'Scientific Support for the Management of Coastal and Oceanic Fisheries in the Pacific Islands Region' (SciCOFish) project.
